I thought this week, I might fill you in on a couple of skin care essentials. You could call these products holy grail, although the phrase makes me cringe so I’ll just stick to skin care essentials.

First up is La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Duo. For a while I was unable to get my hands on this product (or any of the range for that matter) but luckily some of the line is now stocked in chemists around Australia. This is one product I’m certain I’ll be repurchasing, in fact I already have 2 additional tubes on stand-bye.

Just to give you a little background, my skin has been the bain of my existence for much of my life. It’s not super bad but it’s not super great either. I guess some might say its middle of the road which is why I was intrigued by this product. I’d read so many positive reviews about how it’s helped calm and clear peoples skin that I just had to give it a go and see if the hype was warranted.

Although I don’t have acne issues anymore (thank goodness) I do suffer (yes, a bit excessive I know) from small little bumps, pesky pores and combination/dehydrated skin – enter Effaclar duo. Since using this little tube of miracle cream I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my skins texture and clarity and even my pores seem Somewhat smaller. My skins not perfect but it’s definitely looking better and I’m happy with that.

I use the light textured cream/gel both day and night and it works well under makeup too – it mattifies after application, a bonus for my sometimes oily skin type. I can’t detect a scent which is a bonus too. All in all, this little tube of wonder and awe gets a big thumbs up from me.

Keep an eye out on my next installment on skin essentials, where i discuss Hydraluron Moisture Booster.

Have you tried Effaclar Duo or anything from the La Roche-Posay? I’m keen to hear your experiences, so drop me a comment.
