Weekend Edit: Style #11

weekend-edit-11Hello lovelies, It’s the end of another week and it’s also the end of my stay in Brisbane. Dylan and I are finally moving back to Sydney! Woohoo! We leave on Monday and to say it’s been a hectic past month is an understatement. We’re both utterly exhausted but just need to get over the final hurdle; cleaning our apartment and handing over the keys. For anyone who rents in Australia this part is a massive pain in the arse – yeah, I have issues with real estate agents (long story). With everything packed up and already in Sydney I thought I’d squeeze in one last post this week before we head down.

One thing I’m looking forward to most in Sydney is the cooler climate; I’m a winter/autumn girl at heart and can’t wait to dig out my wooly jumpers and coats. I managed to condense my wardrobe down to a quarter of it’s size during our pack-up (yes really) so would love to add a few neutral pieces to my almost non-existent wardrobe. Strangely it’s quite satisfying getting rid of everything and starting a fresh. While it’s unlikely I will add any of these pieces (my mac died this morning and probably can’t be salvaged, grrr) it’s nice to get a little inspired.

I’m not sure what my schedule will be like regarding posts next week (as we will be staying with family) but things will return to some kind of normality soon. Apologies if I haven’t been able to visit your blog and comment like I normally do, but I hope you all understand that it’s just the transition process and nothing more.

For now thanks for your support, have an amazing weekend and take care!

weekend-edit-10After black and white comes stripe. Yep, I’ve basically summed up my wardrobe. Striped pieces are a real wardrobe staple for me and just so happen to be one of my favourite things to wear (just ask my boyfriend). Not only do they add an element of interest but they’re also a classic graphic element making them timeless and super easy to wear no matter what the occasion.

Over the last few weeks I’ve steadily made my way through my wardrobe picking out bits that have seen better days or just don’t fit anymore. Sadly I’ve had to say goodbye to a few stripey friends as well. While I haven’t bought any new pieces I’ve been getting lots of inspiration on how to style my favourite print, which is half the fun really.

How do you like to style your stripes? Let me know in the comments below.

As always have an amazing weekend and I’ll catch you next week.

weekend-edit-9Hello lovelies, It’s my favourite time of the week again and as per usual I’m excited and relieved the weekend is here – who’s with me? Without sounding like a beat up record my week has been pretty hectic mostly with work and packing (the story of my life it seems). I also celebrated my birthday this week but kept it pretty low key. I picked up lots of nice goodies, some of which I will share with you in the coming weeks. Of course I’d love any of the above in case anyone was feeling generous, ha!

What’s everyone up to this weekend? Anyone else a fellow cancerian and celebrating their birthday this month? Let me know in the comments below.

Stay safe and have a blast everyone!

Weekend Edit: #6

weekend-edit-6By the time this post goes live I’ll have left for my weekend mini break – it’s been a long time coming. The boy and I are heading out of town to get a good dose of fresh air. We’re only away for the weekend but we’re going to squeeze in as much rest and relaxation as possible. Between work, blogging and personal commitments I’ve been feeling a little worse for wear … that probably explains why I’ve been unwell for what feels like a long time. Luckily I’m finally starting to feel like myself. A special thanks goes out to you lovely readers who sent your get well wishes – much appreciated. You’re a bunch of dolls.

On that note have an amazing weekend. Whatever you’re up to enjoy yourselves and I’ll catch you next week.

weekend-edit-5AI’m officially signing out for the Easter long weekend. I’d love to say I’m excited but I’ve come down with a stomach bug and my allergies are playing tricks on me too. Hopefully all is well and good tomorrow. I’ll be back next week but for now let me share my style picks for this week. Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it and to all my lovely readers have a great weekend! Catch you next week.

weekend-edit-4Yay for Friday! I’ve made it through the week – relatively unscathed. It’s been a hectic week and to say I’m glad it’s Friday is an understatement. I’ve got a few projects going on simultaneously and I feel like I’m running against the clock. I need to get things done and dusted before the Easter break so there’s no room for slacking off at the moment.

The beauty ban has gone well but I may have rewarded myself with a small little something-something now that the ban has been lifted (more on that next week). Style wise I’ve done a little bit of window shopping (from the comfort of my lounge) and wile I’m feeling inspired I just haven’t had the time or energy to physically get out there and try things on. With that being said this post is dedicated to what I’ve been loving this week. As usual mono shades reign supreme.

I hope your all have a lovely weekend. Anyone up to anythng exciting? No doubt I’ll be catching up on some sleep and work 🙂 Mmmm sleep 🙂

fashion-inspiration-3This weekend I’m on a strict diet of no shopping. I may have gone ‘slightly’ over budget with some beauty bits and bops so I’m going to be a pauper for a while. With that being said I’m still compiling bits and pieces for my autumn/winter dream wardrobe. The ripped jeans and leather jacket are still there but I’ve added a few additions – I’m really loving Zara’s spring collection as well as & Other stories’s but of course neither store ships to Australia. Perhaps that’s a blessing in disguise.

Okay, that wraps it up – it’s Friday everybody! Have a lovely weekend and to my new followers hello and welcome. Thanks for all your lovely comments as always and I’ll catch you next week!
