Product empties #2

Product_empties_2Empty product bottles be gone! Hooray for me and a pat on the back for finally getting this post together. I’ve been hanging onto these pesky little critters for some time. I actually have a feeling some of my other empties may have been thrown out by mistake by my better half. I don’t blame him really.

Anyway, here are my empties in all their manky glory.

Sukin Cream cleanser: It took me a while to use this up. Left my skin feeling greasy. Shame as I had high hopes.

Clarins Double Serum: A lovely serum that I enjoyed using. The only downside is that it contains mineral oil, which I found out about after I’d bought it.

Maybelline New York Dream Smooth Primer: A nice product. Feels very “silicone-y”.

Vaseline Dry Skin conditioning lotion: Your average moisturising lotion. I wouldn’t run out to buy it again. Not the biggest fan of lotions to be honest. I prefer thick creams.

Clarins Extra Firming Body Lotion: I received this as a gift (with purchase). I liked it but again, I wouldn’t run out to buy it. If I recall correctly, I wasn’t fond of the scent.

When Hope is not enough: This was a nice serum but I stopped using it midday, so I can’t vouch for it’s effectiveness.

Original Source Lime Shower Gel: I loved this when I first got it but eventually I got over it, and pretty quickly I might add.

Kiehl’s Double strength wrinkle filler: I quite liked this ‘wrinkle filler’ formula. It contains two types of Hyaluronic Acid which made my skin feel nice and hydrated. Not sure it did anything for my wrinkles though.

Schwarzkopf Liquid Silk Repair & Gloss Treatment: Liquid Silk did a great job of adding shine to my hair plus it smelt really lovely too.

La Roche Porsay Effaclar Duo: One of my ‘Holy Grail’ items. Love this so much I have backups.

Have you tried any of these products? If yes, what did you think?

  1. Thanks for the Sukin cream cleanser comment, you’ve saved me some money, as it was on my wishlist!
Schwarzkoppf liquid silk line has such a beautiful smell, but unfortunately, the shampoo makes my scalp ichy&dandruffed, conditioner weights my hair down. I regret it, because of this beutiful smell, so from time to time I buy their shampoo (use it as hand wash) just to enjoy smell. silly, I know, but…

    • Hehehe, that’s some serious scent dedication, re the handwash 🙂 I’ve only just tried the Liquid Silk treatment and love the scent too. I’ll steer away from the rest of the line (thanks for the advice). It sounds like you’ve had the same reaction as my experiences with the John Frieda Luxurious Volume line.
